Sophia’s Grace Foundation Rescue

Some stories begin with heartbreak… but this one begins with hope.

Poppi was born after her mama was rescued from a hoarding situation by Sophia’s Grace Foundation. While her mother had endured neglect and uncertainty, Poppi entered the world with something every puppy deserves—a chance at a better life.

She represents new beginnings, second chances, and the incredible difference rescue organizations make every single day. Because one dog was saved, an entire litter was given the opportunity to grow up surrounded by love instead of hardship.

When I created this portrait, I wanted Poppi’s joyful personality to shine through. Her oversized polka-dot bow, playful glasses, happy grin, and tiny denim jacket reflect exactly what every rescue animal deserves—the freedom to simply be a carefree puppy.

Every rescue has a story, and every story deserves to be remembered. Through my artwork, I hope to celebrate these incredible animals, honor the people who save them, and inspire others to open their hearts to rescue.
