This 5” x 7” spiral notebook features my original artwork of Lobo, a rescue dog whose journey is proof that patience, understanding, and love can completely change a life.

Lobo came to Sophia’s Grace Foundation after being surrendered by his owner. Having been brought home during the COVID pandemic, he had never been properly socialized and was terrified of unfamiliar people and situations. Fear caused him to react aggressively, and during his rescue transport, he lunged and tried to bite both people and the other dogs in the car.

Instead of giving up on him, his foster mom gave him the time and guidance he needed. Through countless trips to the veterinary hospital, visits to Tractor Supply, and positive interactions with new people, Lobo slowly began to build confidence and learn that the world wasn’t such a scary place after all.

As his trust grew, so did the bond between him and his foster mom. It wasn’t long before she realized she couldn’t imagine life without him—and, of course, she officially adopted him.

Today, Lobo is living proof that sometimes the dogs who need the most patience end up giving the biggest piece of their hearts.
