Daisy Dot and the Missing Sunshine

Everyone on Buttercup Hill knew Daisy Dot.

With her fluffy bangs, giant eyes, and signature polka-dot bow, she was impossible to miss. But what made Daisy special wasn’t her adorable look—it was her belief that every day should have a little extra sunshine.

Each morning, Daisy would trot through the meadow spreading kindness wherever she went.

She complimented the chickens on their feathers.

She told the horses they looked handsome.

She even waved to the grumpy old goat, who pretended not to like anyone but secretly smiled whenever she passed.

One cloudy morning, Daisy noticed something strange.

The flowers weren’t blooming.

The birds weren’t singing.

Even the butterflies seemed gloomy.

“What’s wrong with everyone?” she asked.

The old owl sighed.

“We’ve had so many rainy days that everyone has forgotten how to feel sunny.”

Daisy thought about that all day.

Then she had an idea.

The next morning she put on her biggest bow and started what she called The Sunshine Parade.

She invited every animal on the farm.

The ducks waddled.

The sheep bounced.

The chickens flapped.

The pigs danced.

And Daisy led the way, smiling from ear to ear.

Before long, everyone was laughing.

The flowers seemed brighter.

The birds began singing again.

Even the grumpy goat joined in.

That evening, as the sun finally broke through the clouds, the owl perched beside Daisy.

“You found the sunshine,” he said.

Daisy shook her head.

“Nope. It was here all along.”

“Then what did you do?”

Daisy smiled.

“I just reminded everyone where to look.”

And from that day forward, whenever the farm felt a little gloomy, the animals knew exactly what to do:
