This Limited Edition Mini Print features my original graphite artwork of Nelson, a rescue dog whose journey is a beautiful reminder that love isn’t always instant—but it’s always worth the wait.

Only 7 of these miniature prints will ever be produced. Each print is hand-signed, individually numbered, and includes a matching Certificate of Authenticity, making it a meaningful collectible for rescue supporters and art collectors alike.

Nelson came into rescue as a stray alongside another dog. When he met his future family, everything seemed to be going perfectly… until fear got the best of him. As he was being handed to Sue, Nelson bit her.

Most people might have walked away.

Sue didn’t.

Instead, she looked at this frightened little dog and made a simple decision: “He’s staying.”

It was clear Nelson wasn’t aggressive—he was scared. In his new home, he spent hours quietly pacing, unsure if he was finally safe. Day by day, with patience and kindness, his walls began to come down.

Then came the moment that changed everything.

Nelson climbed onto the couch, nestled behind the pillows, rested his tiny chin on Sue’s shoulder, and silently chose to trust.

That was the moment he found his forever home.

Nelson’s story reminds us that rescue isn’t always love at first sight. Sometimes it’s patience. Sometimes it’s understanding. Sometimes it’s believing in an animal before they can believe in you.
