This 5” × 7” spiral notebook features my original graphite drawing of Pierre, a rescue dog whose story began before he even took his first breath.

Pierre’s mother, a retired breeding dog, came into the care of Sophia’s Grace Foundation. Soon after her rescue, everyone received an unexpected surprise—she was pregnant!

Pierre was born safely in rescue as one of six puppies. Although one of his siblings was sadly stillborn, Pierre and his littermates were given the chance to grow up surrounded by love, safety, and compassionate care.

Today, Pierre has found his forever home, where he is absolutely adored by his new family. His story is a beautiful reminder that sometimes life’s greatest blessings arrive when you least expect them.

This notebook celebrates Pierre’s journey and the incredible work of rescue organizations that give dogs—and even those yet to be born—the opportunity for a brighter future.
