From abandoned to beloved… and now the CEO of the grooming shop.

This 5” × 7” spiral notebook features my original graphite drawing of Poindexter Pie, a little dog whose life changed because one person chose to stop and help.

Someone pulled into a local store parking lot, opened their car door, left Poindexter behind, and drove away. Thankfully, a kindhearted witness saw what happened, picked him up, and contacted Amy at 911 Dog Rescue.

Amy welcomed Poindexter into rescue, giving him the safety and care he deserved until he found his forever home.

That forever home became mine.

Today, Poindexter Pie proudly serves as the CEO of my grooming shop, greeting clients, supervising the staff, and making sure everyone knows he’s in charge. More importantly, he reminds me every single day why rescue matters.

Poindexter is one of the biggest reasons I use my artwork to help homeless animals. Every portrait I create, every rescue story I tell, and every product I design is inspired by dogs like him—dogs who simply needed someone to believe they were worth saving.
