MEET MUFFIN — “MUFFY TOUGHY” ✨💕

She may look like she’s ready for a day of shopping on Rodeo Drive, but Muffin’s story began very differently.

Muffin arrived at Sophia’s Grace Foundation on September 6, 2025, after being found wandering along Route 30 between East Canton and Minerva.

Estimated to be between 10 and 13 years old, she was severely matted, her nails had grown into the pads of her feet, and she had very few teeth. She had never been spayed and likely had never received the routine veterinary care every dog deserves.

The dog wardens lovingly named her Muffin because the tiny, neglected girl looked like a little “ragamuffin.”

But Muffin was a fighter.

After receiving the medical care she had gone without for so long, she slowly began discovering that people could be kind, hands could be gentle, and a home could be filled with love.

Her mom affectionately calls her “Muffy Toughy” because, despite everything she endured, this little girl never gave up. ❤️

Then, on November 7, 2025, Muffin’s life changed forever.

She went home. 🏡

Today, Muffin is living on Easy Street, where her biggest concern is making sure everyone remembers when it’s time for dinner! She even has the cutest little grumble that sounds like a tiny baby beaver—and she has completely stolen her family’s hearts.

Muffin now shares her happily-ever-after with her rescue siblings, Vivi, who survived a hoarding situation, and Charlie Tuna, a former feral kitten.

Stories like Muffin’s are exactly why I create my rescue artwork. Every portrait is inspired by a real rescue and celebrates not where that animal’s story began, but where love helped them end up.
