Meet Thor

Thor is a 7-year-old German Shepherd with the SPCA of Texas. He’s gentle, calm and loving, enjoys the company of other dogs, and has the sweetest folded ears.

Because Thor experiences separation anxiety, he needs a patient family who can help him feel safe and secure. I drew him as a distinguished gentleman in tweed and a bow tie, with a cup of coffee close by. The look is playful, but my hope is that it encourages someone to pause and get to know the real dog behind the portrait.

Thor is still waiting for a home, and his original portrait is for sale. Twenty percent of sales of artwork and products featuring Thor will be donated to the SPCA of Texas to help care for animals in need.
